Sacraments are called that because in sense, that is the real signs of spiritual and contain ineffable. In other words, sacraments established by God through sacred action by invisible way served man grace of the Holy Spirit, or else the saving power of God.

  

 

For creatures that do not have this physicality we may direct contemplation of the secret action of the Spirit of God and the perception of grace or delete from it, so they do not need the sacraments. Nevertheless, these creatures depending on their spirituality. Тhe angels of light attitude to the sacraments very respectful and the angels of darkness - extremely negative. Moreover, the angels of darkness mortally afraid the sacraments, especially the sacrament of communion.

  

 

Christianity itself is a divine mystery; so many sacraments in Christianity, but the main are seven sacraments, as fundamental for the salvation of mankind. Church has not always been this calculus, since it is difficult to distinguish between the sacraments and rites, which are also taught through the gracious gifts, and the conditions in which they occurred are often the same as for the sacraments, but rituals are not sufficient for salvation.

 

 

In Scripture nowhere says that the seven sacraments, as stated and no less, but there are clear indications of all the seven sacraments, and each of them has the essential properties: a divine setting, visible action and the promise of a special grace, which receive the sacrament.

 

 

Church only on the circumstances of time for a long time not to formulate them in concise and exact terms of his teaching. None of the holy fathers of antiquity has not explained whole doctrine of the sacraments, because it was not necessary. Three sacraments baptism, chrismation and Holy unction intended for all people so that everyone can become a christian and then, having succeeded in christian piety, to attain eternal salvation. These three mysteries are inextricably linked with each other, through which the mystery takes place in the human incarnation of the Church. These mysteries person becomes partaker of Christ's salvation and learns His gifts.

 

 

Two of them penance and extreme unction are intended for all christians, as the two life-saving medicines; one from mental illness, and another from physical and mental illnesses.

 

 

Two sacraments matrimony and the Holy orders are not necessary for all christians, but they necessary for the purpose of the Church in general, for its existence and prosperity. 

  • In baptism - a person born in a mysterious new life, spiritual;
  • In chrismation - receive grace, spiritually growing and strengthening this new life;
  • In penance  - the doctors of the spiritual disease, that is, from sins;
  • In Holy unction  - fed spiritually as an introduction to the kingdom of heaven, really connecting with God Christ;
  • In extreme unction - doctors and physical illnesses, through the healing of the spiritual;
  • In matrimony  - receives grace, sanctifying marriage and a natural birth and upbringing of children;
  • In Holy orders  - receives grace spiritually revive and educate others through teaching and the sacraments to eternal life.

  

Sacraments are two aspects:

  • 1) the external or ritual, and
  • 2) the internal or spiritual.

  

The essence and purpose of the sacraments

 

The essence of the sacraments is that the gifts of grace served christian directly by God, but necessarily only through the priest. By some mysterious to us by the grace of God acts and interacts with both visible and the invisible worlds. In every sacrament of this mutual transition from one world to another, carried to us through some visible effects on visible matter and the material a certain way of thinking, as expressed in the words of the famous forms for each mystery.
